Former Pakistani captain and one of the greatest pacers of all time, Wasim Akram, took a hilarious dig at pacer Shahnawaz Dahani on Friday.
Talking in a local sports show, someone asked if Dahani can play a match or not to which the former pacer first replied sarcastically and then talked about the pacer.
“Someone sent me a video of Shahnawaz Dahani where he was singing. I would like to give him a piece of advice ‘Please stick to your day job, you were singing awfully’,” said Akram.

Dahani was included in the Pakistan Shaheens’ squad for the Asian Games 2023 where the Larkana-born pacer didn’t get to play any match.
Before that, he was called up for the Asia Cup 2023 after Pakistan’s Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah suffered injuries but the 25-year-old also travelled to Sri Lanka for nothing as by the time he landed there, the Green Shirts were out of the tournament.
It must be noted that the last time Dahani played a One Day International (ODI) for Pakistan was against the Netherlands in August 2022 while his last appearance in the T20 Internationals (T20I) was against New Zealand in October 2022.
Earlier, Pakistan started their ICC World Cup 2023 campaign with an important 81-run win against the Netherlands at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on Friday (October 6).
Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan powered their side to a competitive 286-run total after the Green Shirts met with early blows as they had lost their top-three batters — Fakhar Zaman, Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam — in the first 10 overs.
The Green Shirts will now play Sri Lanka on October 10 at the same venue.
